Carlisle-Rosalie.
Carlisle is in the house for several reasons. One - it's a rare sunny afternoon. Two - he doesn't have a shift until this evening.
Three - it's actually quiet. Most of the family is out.
So Carlisle's in one of the sitting areas by a stretch of windows, pen and notebook in hand.

Rosalie is just barely containing more giggling behind her sarcasm.

"Want to see some of my other ones?"
no subject
"Sure, I'd like that," she replies both enthusiastically and sincerely, as she leans forward slightly.

There's not a horrible one of the family, with the crest in the corner. (Edward's and Alice's hair come out just looking like two different length versions of the same haircut.)
There's another of a woman Rosalie may not know in profile with scribbles across the bottom. Next to a pile of gummi bears.

"Wait, who's that?" Rosalie asks, touching Carlisle's wrist to stop him from flipping.
Hopefully, Carlisle won't expect her to let this go. Because she's not going to.
no subject
"She's...unusual."
In an oddly pleasing sort of way.

It could be anything, really. You never know with Milliways. Rosalie is finding herself more interested with the place and the people there, now that she's decided to start visiting more often.

:D?
"Her name is Star. Like...the tarot card?"
no subject
"The tarot card?"
Why would he use that comparison? Rosalie hasn't put the pieces together yet.

"Or perhaps she's just confusing. I do not know, my dear. But she knows me as very few do, and we have become friends.
"Or at least I consider her mine. To be honest, I have no idea what she thinks of me."
no subject
"How long have you known her?"
no subject
But he glosses over too much discussion on Bella - he knows his daughter's mind.
"She knows of my history as well. Trust me, it gets unnerving."

"What is it?"
no subject
"Do you really think it's safe... that some of them know about us?" she asks, her expression gravely serious.

Behind Star's picture is one of the layout of the Milliways infirmary.
"Even with everything that has happened there, I have difficulties believing that the risks outweigh the benefits that can be reaped there."
no subject
She glances down at the drawing of the infirmary. That's all well and good for Carlisle, certainly, but in her usual selfish way Rosalie's wondering what good it would do her to go more often.
no subject
"I am a vampire, but I can practice medicine there. Be all of myself all at once."
Carlisle shrugs. "As adept as I am with it? Not having to lie is sometimes a welcome experience."

"They'd most likely be upset at us having discovered a potential asset to exploit before they have."
no subject
no subject
Carlisle isn't really sure how to explain this.
"They would have no interest in killing you, my dear. Or Emmett."
no subject
She seems to break out of it, though, before she asks, "How do you know they wouldn't?"
